The church shop Kirche & Co. and the tea room KONKRET are collecting food, warm clothing and sleeping bags from November 2nd to 13th
The ecumenical church shop Kirche & Co. and the KONKRET tea room of the Regional Diakonie Südhessen are launching a joint fundraising campaign to support homeless people in Darmstadt. From November 2nd to 13th, 2026, they will be collecting non-perishable food items, warm clothing, sleeping bags, and other urgently needed supplies.
Donations can be dropped off at the church shop Kirche & Co., An der Stadtkirche 1 in Darmstadt. The collected items will then be distributed directly to people in need via the KONKRET tea room.
Needed non-perishable food and warm clothing
The wish list primarily includes food items that can be stored without refrigeration. These include coffee, tea, pasta, soups, and small cans of fish or meat. Sweets are also very welcome.
It is important that all food items are in their original packaging, have a long shelf life, and do not require refrigeration.
With the cold season approaching, sleeping bags, sleeping mats and warm clothing are also urgently needed.
Particularly in demand are warm fingerless gloves, fleece hats, winter shoes and sneakers in sizes 42 to 45.
Hygiene products and medical products are also in demand
In addition to food and winter equipment, the KONKRET tea room requests men's underwear and hygiene products.
In addition, medical products such as cold remedies and wound ointments are needed.
The donations are intended to help provide homeless people in Darmstadt with essential daily necessities during the cold season.
Direct distribution by the KONKRET tea room
The fundraising campaign is organized by the ecumenical church shop Kirche & Co. in cooperation with the KONKRET tea room of the Regional Diakonie Südhessen.
After the collection is completed, the donated items will be forwarded to the tea room and distributed directly to the people who need this help.
