The Griesheim Onion Market will take place this year from September 25th to 28th. For four days, the town center will be transformed into the venue for this traditional festival, which will be celebrated for the 49th time in 2026. Clubs, groups, and other market participants will contribute to the program with stalls and a variety of offerings.
The onion market is closely linked to the social life of Griesheim. Traditionally, the market offers food and drinks, as well as rides and entertainment for various age groups.
The Griesheim onion market has a tradition dating back to 1978
The Onion Market premiered in 1978. Just one year later, the festival was condensed into four days and moved more into the Griesheim town center. Since then, it has been a fixture on the local events calendar.
Art is also part of the program in 2026. The Griesheim Cultural Association invites you to the exhibition "In the Realm of Thoughts." Artists from Griesheim will present works on this year's theme.
