Road repairs are underway between Büttelborn and Griesheimer Dreieck
Motorists on the A67 motorway between the Büttelborn and the Griesheim junction , heading towards Viernheim, should expect delays. The federal motorway authority has temporarily closed one lane there due to heat damage.
According to Autobahn GmbH, highways are subject to increased monitoring during heat waves to detect damage to the road surface at an early stage. Any heat damage found is repaired immediately, as it can pose a danger to road traffic.
The necessary road repairs have already been initiated. The Autobahn GmbH (Federal Highway Company) did not initially specify how long the closure would last.
Autobahn GmbH asks road users to drive particularly carefully in the affected area and to take care of the road maintenance crews working in the area.
