Musicians Helping Children donates more than 14,000 euros to Darmstadt Institute Outpatient Clinic
With a record donation of €14,153, the association "Musicians Help Children" the child protection medicine outpatient clinic of the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital in Darmstadt. The donation comes from the proceeds of the benefit concert "Charity for Kids," which took place in mid-June at the Bessunger Knabenschule (Bessunger Boys' School).
Since 2011, the association, founded in 2010, has organized an annual benefit concert. The proceeds and donations regularly benefit organizations that work with children.
Music, raffle and donations
This year's concert featured singer-songwriter Frank Bülow and the rock cover band Petting Only . Frank Bülow presented songs he had written in the 1990s for well-known acts such as Culture Beat and ATC
The raffle was also very well received: all 250 prizes were awarded to the visitors and also contributed to the donation result.
Check presentation at the children's hospital
On July 28th, the donation check was presented at the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital . Club chairman Jürgen Galsheimer and vice-chairman Andreas Trägler handed the donation to Dr. Markus Freff, head of the child protection medicine outpatient clinic.
In addition to Dr. Freff, the check was also accepted by clinic director Andreas Hofmann, social worker Christine Marquard and deputy nursing director Ms. Bizer .
Hofmann praised the voluntary commitment of the association. He noted that the support provided to children affected by violence demonstrates the importance of personal dedication and social solidarity.
The association concluded by thanking all sponsors, donors and volunteers who contributed to the success of the benefit concert.
