New venue provides more safety and space
The popular See'mer Kerb in Seeheim-Jugenheim will have a new central venue this year: the stage and club stands will be moved for the first time to the area around the town hall.
Safety limits reached at the current location
The live music evenings in the historic town center, especially during the Sebastiansmarkt (St. Sebastian's Market), had become real crowd-pullers in recent years. However, the increasing number of visitors led to growing space problems. In some cases, guests had to be turned away for safety reasons, as emergency exits were no longer adequately guaranteed.
Birgit Kannegießer also emphasizes that despite a well-developed security concept, capacity limits had been reached.
New location concentrates the festival activities
With the relocation around the town hall, the festival will now be concentrated in one central location. Previously, individual areas of the fair were spatially separated. The new structure creates a cohesive festival area that also includes the fairground attractions and rides.
The fair remains a communal experience
The organizers see the new location as an opportunity to further develop the fair while simultaneously making it safer. The goal remains to preserve the special atmosphere of the traditional festival.
