The DJO arranges exchange students from Peru, Guatemala and Brazil for stays of several weeks in Germany
The DJO – German Youth in Europe is looking for host families for exchange students from Peru, Guatemala, and Brazil. The young people, aged 13 to 16, will come to Germany for several weeks between October 2026 and February 2027 and attend a school in their host family's place of residence during their stay.
The exchange students speak German as a foreign language. They are expected to attend classes at a Gymnasium (academic high school) or Realschule (intermediate secondary school). The families host the students for the duration of their stay, allowing them to experience everyday life in Germany. A return visit to the student's home country is also possible upon request.
Host families for exchange students from three countries
for teenagers from Arequipa, Peru, for the period from October 24th to December 5th, 2026. Participants are 15 to 16 years old.
The group from Guatemala City will be visiting from November 22nd to December 20th, 2026. The young people are between 13 and 15 years old. According to the DJO, families in the greater Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Mannheim areas are particularly needed for this program.
to host Brazilian exchange students aged 14 to 16 for the period from January 10th to February 25th, 2027.
According to its own statements, DJO – German Youth in Europe has been organizing international exchange student programs for more than 50 years with the aim of promoting personal and cultural exchange between young people and families.
