More than 60 children tried out sports, games and everyday tasks
At Boys' Day in Darmstadt on October 6th, more than 60 children were introduced to various sports, games, and everyday tasks. The Boys' Work Working Group of the City of Darmstadt and the Darmstadt-Dieburg district organized the event jointly with the DA-DI Sports Association Youth in the school gymnasium of the vocational school center.
At seven stations, the boys could try out various activities, including table football, boules, cornhole, and boxing, as well as psychomotor and cooperative games. The free activities ran from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and included a shared lunch.
Youth worker Matthias Hirt from the Pfungstadt Children and Youth Services brought along a household skills course. It involved shopping, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and recycling. The children also had the opportunity to practice setting a table like in a restaurant.
