A traditional company from Bad Homburg showcases training programs combining craftsmanship, solar technology, and sustainable building
Frankfurt/Bad Homburg. Traditional craftsmanship meets modern technology: The roofing company Willy A. Löw AG will be presenting itself at the Jobrotation career fair in the BBBank Arena Frankfurt on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The family business aims to inspire young people in particular to pursue an apprenticeship in the roofing trade.
For over 100 years, the company has been designing roofs and facades in the Rhine-Main region. Its scope of work has long since expanded beyond the traditional roofing of buildings. Pitched, flat, and green roofs are just as much a part of its service portfolio as facades, metalwork, waterproofing, and modern solar solutions.
Training on real construction sites
The apprenticeship to become a roofing, wall, and waterproofing technician (m/f/d) lasts three years and takes place both at the company and at vocational school. From the very beginning, apprentices work on real construction sites and learn from experienced professionals.
The projects range from single-family homes and listed buildings to larger construction projects. Trainees learn, among other things, how to lay tiles and slate, seal flat roofs, fabricate sheet metal parts for roofs and gutters, and install facades.
Modern technologies are now also part of the job description. These include the installation of solar panels and work that contributes to making buildings more energy-efficient.

Craftsmanship with a future
Willy A. Löw AG describes itself as the largest family-run roofing company in the Rhine-Main region. According to the company, sustainable construction, renewable energies, and modern building technology are ensuring that the demands placed on the roofing trade are constantly evolving.
Anyone interested in an apprenticeship should enjoy working outdoors, possess manual dexterity, and have an interest in technology. A head for heights, reliability, and a willingness to work in a team are also essential.
The company advertises modern technology, diverse construction projects, and good opportunities for employment and development after training.
During the job rotation, students can get to know the company personally and learn firsthand about training, daily work and future prospects in the roofing trade.
