Adventure semester for children and young people aged eight to 15
There are still places available for the Albert Schweitzer University, a children's and youth program run by the City of Darmstadt, during the autumn holidays. Children and young people between the ages of eight and 15 can spend a week from October 5th to 10th, 2026, at the Albert Schweitzer House in Lindenfels, enjoying research, creativity, and shared activities.
The so-called adventure semester combines workshops and exercises with various leisure activities. Participants can contribute their own ideas, discover new things, and gain experiences together. There's also time for games, action, and shared adventures. The week concludes with a celebration, and the children and teenagers receive a "diploma.".
Accommodation with full board
The leisure activity is organized by the Children and Youth Services of the City of Darmstadt in cooperation with KuBuS eV. The children and teenagers will be accommodated in shared rooms and will receive full board. The participation fee is €140. Travel will depart from Darmstadt.
Interested parents can send the completed registration form by email to freizeiten@darmstadt.de . Further information about the Albert Schweitzer University and registration can be found at kinder-jugend-freizeiten.de.
