The municipality requests consideration at the water basin in the park
In Goldschmidt Park in Seeheim-Jugenheim, below the villa, there is a pond that serves as a habitat for numerous amphibians. Newts, toads, and frogs, among others, have settled there.
Sensitive habitat for protected animals
The pool is an important refuge for the strictly protected animals. However, it is also used by dogs who go into the water or swim there during walks in the park.
This can significantly disturb the amphibians and impair their habitat.
A request to dog owners
The local council therefore asks all visitors, especially dog owners, to ensure that dogs do not get near the pool.
Furthermore, the access aids for the animals attached to the pool should not be damaged, as they are of great importance for the survival of the amphibians.
