Traffic measures around the VfR sports grounds on May 8th
For the match between Eintracht Frankfurt's veterans team and VfR Groß-Gerau on Friday, May 8, 2026, special traffic and parking regulations will be in effect in Groß-Gerau. The match kicks off at 6:30 p.m., and more than 1,000 spectators are expected.
No-stopping zones around the sports grounds
A no-stopping zone will be established on several streets in the immediate vicinity of the sports field. The following streets are affected:
- At the sports field
- Geschwister-Scholl-Straße
- Ludwigstrasse 20 to 26 and 19 to 25
Stopping and parking vehicles there is not permitted on the day of the event.
Parking lot at the district sports hall closed
The parking lot at the district sports hall will be completely closed from 3 p.m. onwards. A strict no-stopping zone will be in effect. The area will be monitored, and parking permits will only be issued to selected individuals.
Alternative parking options are signposted
Designated parking areas are available for visitors throughout the city. These are signposted via a parking guidance system. These include, among others:
- Gambrinus parking lot (Darmstädter Straße)
- Heidenreich Kitchen World parking lot
- P+R car park Dornberger Bahnhof (east side)
- Parking garage at the district hospital and district administration office
Arrival by public transport is recommended
The city recommends using public transport or bicycles whenever possible to ease the traffic situation.
