BUND invites you to a free event offering insights into the night world
The BUND, together with the NABU and the adult education center, invites you to an event about bats in Darmstadt.
Lecture on bat diversity
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the BUND Center for Urban Nature in the Orangery.
In her presentation, expert Lioba Stenner provides insights into the animals' way of life. Topics covered include habitats, hunting behavior, and the importance of bats to the ecosystem.
Practical advice is also given on how to support bats in one's own environment.
Guided tour with detector
Following the lecture, there will be a tour of the orangery. During this tour, bats will be detected using special detectors and identified.
Participation in the event is free of charge. The lecture will also be streamed online.
