Riedstadt once again the most bicycle-friendly municipality – Mörfelden-Walldorf and Stockstadt in second and third place
The Groß-Gerau district has presented the results of the 2025 City Cycling participated 5,774 cyclists – almost 500 more than last year – 253 teams. Together, they covered 853,486 kilometers . This results in an estimated CO₂ saving of around 140 tons, assuming that car journeys were replaced by cycling.
Riedstadt has been the leader since 2021
has once again secured Riedstadt the title of the most bicycle-friendly municipality. During the campaign period, residents of 5.92 kilometers came in second Mörfelden-Walldorf in third place Stockstadt am Rhein (4.39 kilometers).
All 14 municipalities in the Groß-Gerau district participated in the campaign between May 18th and June 7th, 2025.
Strong performances also in parliaments and teams
the most bicycle-friendly local council Riedstadt once again boasts 62.76 kilometers were cycled per council member followed in second and third place, respectively Bischofsheim and Gernsheim.
In terms of absolute figures, Rüsselsheim with 248,649 kilometers , followed by Mörfelden-Walldorf (170,911 kilometers) and Riedstadt (137,859 kilometers).
