Municipal companies presented their work in summery weather
Despite the summery temperatures, the Day of Urban Business attracted numerous visitors to Darmstadt's Friedensplatz on Saturday. Around 40 exhibitors from Darmstadt's urban business sector and their partners presented their products, projects, and services and engaged in conversation with citizens.
Organized by HEAG, the event offered a comprehensive insight into the work of the municipal companies that shape everyday life in Darmstadt in many areas. The diverse range of topics presented covered everything from energy supply and mobility to housing and healthcare, as well as culture, education, and urban development.
Exhibitors included ENTEGA, bauverein, HEAG mobilo, the Darmstadt Clinic, the AGAPLESION Elisabethenstift, the darmstadtium, the Centralstation, and various municipal enterprises of the City of Darmstadt. The da Vinci surgical robot, information about the neighborhood app "Darmstadt im Herzen" (Darmstadt in the Heart), and the activities of the HUB31 technology and start-up center attracted particular interest.
In addition to the information booths, a diverse program of events provided entertainment. The Darmstadt professional fire brigade, the city library's bookmobile, the mobile fan shop of SV Darmstadt 98, and numerous activities for children transformed Friedensplatz into a lively meeting place for the whole family. The event was accompanied by music from the band "Walk-a-Tones.".
The Day of Municipal Economy once again demonstrated the diversity of municipal companies in Darmstadt and the services they provide daily for the people of the city.
