Förster-Heldmann and Depner re-elected with a clear majority
The members of Alliance 90/The Greens Darmstadt elected a new board at their district members' meeting on June 16th at the Justus Liebig House, as is customary. The previous leadership received a clear vote of confidence.
All 816 members of the Darmstadt Green Party's district association are directly involved in the election of the executive committee. The entire executive committee ran for re-election and was confirmed in office by a large majority.
Clear approval for the speaker duo
The result was particularly clear for the two chairpersons: Hildegard Förster-Heldmann was re-elected with 93 percent of the votes, while Heiko Depner even received 98 percent approval.

“We see this result as a sign of confidence in a shared path – supported by many, not just individuals,” explain Hildegard Förster-Heldmann and Heiko Depner. “Over the past two years, we have built a great deal together. We want to build on this and implement green policies in a way that people in Darmstadt experience in their everyday lives.”
Three election campaigns and organizational expansion
According to its own statements, the district association had to overcome several challenges in the past two years. The European elections, the federal elections, and the local elections all fell within the board's term of office.
In addition, new district groups were established, responsibilities within the board were distributed among more people, and additional participation formats for members were created.

Extended board partially newly appointed
In addition to the speaker duo, treasurer Sandra Seeger and secretary Jakob Rimkus were also confirmed in their positions.
Ulrike Rüger, Zoé Zimmermann and Marko Walter continue to serve as associate members of the extended board.
Sabine Pietrucha, Lena Hoeppe, Sigita Urdze and Sascha Krense were newly elected to the board.
The Darmstadt Greens intend to continue their political work for the next two years with the newly elected board team.
