Seven concerts bring jazz, classical music and pop to Eberstadt
The Dotter Concerts 2027 in Eberstadt combine music from different eras and genres. From February to October, the program ranges from Greek poetry to operatic paraphrases and jazz, culminating in an ABBA tribute show.
The opening performance on February 14th will be given by Jannis Zotos and his ensemble. "Zotos sings Theodorakis" is dedicated to the lyrical works of Mikis Theodorakis in celebration of Hans Erich Dotter's 107th birthday. On March 14th, Çağla Gürsoy and Grigory Gruzman will present operatic paraphrases as soloists and four-handed musicians in "The Opera World as Guests." Caroline Mhlanga and the Barrelhouse Jazzband will follow in April with "Let The Good Times Roll.".
Dotter Concerts 2027 featuring Romanticism and Renaissance
Under the title "Between the Lines," soprano Lea Kohnen and the Alinea Quartet will explore the relationship between Clara and Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms on June 19th. Songs and quartets will be interspersed with excerpts from diaries and letters.
To celebrate Marie Elfriede Dotter's 100th birthday, BABA Explosion will perform ABBA's hits on August 21st and 22nd. On September 18th, Olga Reiser and Julia Zielinski will take the audience on a musical journey through Europe with "Canciones y Danzas," combining flute and guitar with live-generated accompaniments from a loop station.
Finally, in October, the ensemble Tastar de Corde will present “Venice – The Divine Spark” on October 17th, exploring the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, following in the footsteps of Giovanni Gabrieli and Claudio Monteverdi.
Tickets and further information: Admission costs ten euros, eight euros for students, pupils, and people with disabilities; advance tickets are subject to additional fees. Admission is free with the Hessian Volunteer Card upon presentation at the box office.

Jannis Zotos and his ensemble dedicate themselves to the lyrical works of Mikis Theodorakis. The 82nd Dotter Concert, celebrating the 107th birthday of Hans Erich Dotter, takes place in the Ernst Ludwig Hall.
March 14, 6 p.m.: "The World of Opera as Guests"
Çağla Gürsoy and Grigory Gruzman perform operatic paraphrases by Franz Liszt and Sigismund Thalberg – solo and four-hand pieces. The 83rd Dotter Concert will take place in the Ernst Ludwig Hall.
