The Groß-Gerau district focuses on climate justice and urban development
The district of Groß-Gerau is planning a multi-day educational trip to Berlin from Sunday, March 29th, to Friday, April 3rd, 2026. The trip, offered by the district's youth services and youth education center, is aimed at young people aged 18 to 26 and is entitled "Great Climate!?".
The trip will focus on topics such as climate justice, sustainability, and urban development. The program includes a city tour, a museum visit, meetings with organizations, and a visit to the Bundestag followed by a discussion with a member of parliament.
Participants' questions are the focus
The starting point for this educational trip is the questions and experiences of the participants. Discussions will cover topics such as how future urban life can be shaped, what changes urban spaces are on the horizon, and what climate justice means in concrete terms. In addition to the structured program, the trip offers ample opportunity for exchange, discussion, and personal engagement with these topics. Time is also allotted for individual exploration of Berlin.
Costs and registration
The participation fee is 170 euros. This includes round-trip train travel, accommodation with breakfast in shared rooms, a local transport ticket for Berlin, and program costs.
Registration is online via the Groß-Gerau district website. Those under 18 can be placed on a waiting list. If places are still available after the registration deadline, participation is also possible for those under 18.
