Exhibition opening on July 19th at Lichtenberg Castle
The photo exhibition for the 4th Global Nomadic Art Project (GNAP) is currently on display at Lichtenberg Castle . Following its presentation at the Schatzinsel Kühkopf Environmental Education Center, it can now be seen at the Environmental Education Station of the UNESCO Global Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald. The exhibition will be officially opened on Sunday, July 19th, at 3 pm
Art from ten countries
On display are posters featuring the work of 23 artists from ten countries who participated in the 4th Global Nomadic Art Project in September 2025 under the theme “Democratic Forest – Democratic Landscape”
During the two-week symposium, ephemeral artworks were created in nature during 14 nature art workshops. The exhibition documents these works and shows how differently the international artists interpreted landscape, nature, and cultural influences.
Art and nature in the geopark
The workshops were held in cooperation with the UNESCO Global Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald. The artists' stops included Lichtenberg Castle, the forest art trail in Darmstadt, the Kühkopf, the Messel Pit, the Kleine Felsenmeer (Little Sea of Rocks), the Tromm, and Amorbach.
The exhibition is open every Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm until October 3rd . During the winter months, it can be visited as part of special events.
