Middle East expert presents book and reports from the occupied territories
The publicist and Middle East expert Johannes Zang will be a guest at the Agora in Darmstadt on Wednesday, August 19. Starting at 7:30 p.m., he will present his book "And at the Checkpoint Humiliation Awaits" and speak about the situation of Christian Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied territories.
The book is based on conversations Zang conducted with Palestinian Christians during Easter 2025. In these conversations, the interviewees describe their political and social living conditions as well as their daily lives under the current circumstances.
The event at Erbacher Straße 89 combines a lecture, a reading, and a discussion. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the author's research and the background of his book, as well as to talk with him.
The event begins at 7:30 pm in the main hall of the Agora.
