Graffiti, workshops and music on September 5th and 6th in Darmstadt
The Lincoln Wall Jam in Darmstadt celebrates its tenth anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th, 2026. The program starts at 2 pm on both days and includes graffiti activities, open workshops, live music, DJs, hip-hop, and rap. Food and drinks will also be available.
Over the past ten years, the Lincoln Wall has become a meeting place for the local and international graffiti and street art scene. At the same time, the freely accessible wall is a public space for encounters between artists, residents, and other interested parties.
Public guided tour along the Lincoln Wall
On Saturday, Mayor Barbara Akdeniz will attend one of the workshops at 4 p.m. and participate in the event. At 4:30 p.m., a public guided tour along the Lincoln Wall will begin, lasting approximately one hour.
“What began ten years ago as a small festival initiated by young people has developed into an event known far beyond Darmstadt,” says Akdeniz. The 640-meter-long wall now attracts street artists and graffiti artists as well as music enthusiasts and other interested people of different age groups.
New signs along Lincoln Wall are intended to clarify rules for respectful coexistence. Among other things, they point out that discriminatory and violence-glorifying depictions are not permitted.
