Mission Leben certifies all 35 facilities according to EMAS and We Impact
The nursing home in Pfungstadt is part of a comprehensive sustainability process: As Mission Leben reports, all 35 of the company's facilities have been certified according to the EMAS and We Impact standards. This officially confirms their commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Sustainability as part of the corporate strategy
For 175 years, Mission Leben has focused on caring for people. With its latest certification, this commitment is expanded to include ecological and economic aspects. This is based on a newly implemented sustainability management system that systematically embeds corresponding goals within the company.
According to management, sustainability is understood as a long-term component of the company's development. The certification serves as a verifiable framework for continuous improvement.
Measures already implemented
As part of this process, concrete measures have already been implemented. These include, among other things, switching a large portion of the electricity supply to renewable energy sources. The vehicle fleet is also being electrified step by step.
Furthermore, the use of environmentally friendly mobility is promoted through subsidies for the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket). In addition, a free psychosocial counselling service for employees has been introduced.
Sustainability report creates transparency
The progress and measures are documented in Mission Leben's first sustainability report. Through EMAS and We Impact certification, the company commits to transparency and regular review of its environmental and social standards.
