Concert in the courtyard featuring classical, jazz and film music
The Kultur im Schloss Heiligenberg invites you to a concert with the Pindakaas Saxophone Quartet on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
The event begins at 11 a.m. in the courtyard of Heiligenberg Castle. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Ensemble with performances throughout Europe
The quartet has been performing throughout Europe for around 30 years, combining different musical styles in its concerts.
Their repertoire includes classical chamber music, tango nuevo, klezmer, jazz, pop, and film music. The musicians have received numerous awards, including the Culture Prize at the International Masterclass for Chamber Music with Saxophones in Unna.
The ensemble has already performed at festivals such as the Lake Constance Festival, the Franconian Summer Festival or the Moselle Music Festival, as well as at international events in Scotland and Kuwait.
"Voyage" program
Under the title “Voyage”, the quartet presents works by Claude Debussy, Isaac Albéniz and Kurt Weill as well as musical melodies by Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin.
The program also includes songs by the Comedian Harmonists, film scores by Henry Mancini, and productions by The Walt Disney Company.
The musicians performing are Thorsten Floth (soprano saxophone), Guido Grospietsch (alto saxophone), Anja Heix (tenor saxophone) and Matthias Schröder (baritone saxophone).
Tickets available in advance
Tickets cost 25 euros plus advance booking fee and are available via Heiligenberg Castle and in the S. Zabel bookstore.
Remaining tickets and discounted student tickets for €15 are available at the box office. The concert will only take place in dry weather. Tickets already purchased will be refunded in case of cancellation.
