The SG Arheilgen women's team starts again in the 2nd Hessenliga – third place at the season finale at Twistesee
After a hiatus of several years, SG Arheilgen-Triathlon fielded a women's team again this season in the 2nd Hessenliga of the Hessian Triathlon Association. A total of twelve athletes competed in the four league events. At the end of the season, the team finished seventh out of ten teams in the overall standings.
At the first competition in Bruchköbel, Kim Stehling, Claudia Jehn, Anna Kühlen and Mara Eisentraut competed for SGA.
The team at the Pfordterman in Schlitz consisted of Simone Barabas, Regina Leonhardt, Claudia Jehn, and Ulrike Bickert. In Viernheim, Regina Leonhardt, Marina Lefort, Nadine Silvia Krisch, and Barbara Vierling competed.
Podium finish to end the season
The Arheilgen women achieved their best team result of the season at the final Twistesee Triathlon in Bad Arolsen. Simone Barabas, Barbara Vierling, Daniela Teske and Nadine Silvia Krisch finished together in third place in the league standings.
With this result, SGA improved to seventh place among the ten teams in the 2nd Hessenliga at the end of the season.
In total, SG Arheilgen fielded twelve different athletes during the four competitions. The return of the women's team to league play was initiated by Daniela Teske.
For the upcoming season, the triathlon department is looking for more female athletes who would like to strengthen the team in the league competitions.
