The SimplyGreen Cockpit app already offers features for the intelligent charging of electric vehicles and the control of heating systems.
"Smart Charging" allows charging processes to be optimized, while "Smart Heating" supports the flexible control of heating systems.
The new Solar Charging function complements these possibilities by taking into account self-generated electricity.
“With Solar Charging, we are taking another important step towards an intelligently networked energy system at home,” explains Florian Müller, Managing Director of Energy Market Solutions.
This gives customers additional options for meaningfully linking electricity generation and consumption. This should work as simply, digitally, and practically as possible.
Households with fixed-price tariffs should also benefit
The SimplyGreen Cockpit app was originally developed to give households with dynamic electricity tariffs greater transparency about their consumption and better control over their energy costs. The application can be used both with and without a smart meter.
With dynamic tariffs, the electricity price changes depending on developments in the electricity market. By flexibly managing their consumption, households can try to take advantage of particularly favorable periods for energy-intensive applications.
In the future, the app should also be usable for households with classic fixed-price tariffs.
“The next logical and important step is now to also use the app for households with fixed-price tariffs. This will give all customers the opportunity to unlock flexibility potential in their homes,” says Müller.
According to the company, work on this expansion is already underway.
Digital solutions for the energy transition
Energy Market Solutions is based in Berlin and belongs to the ENTEGA Group. The company develops electricity products and digital energy solutions for residential and commercial customers.
