Volunteers and municipal experts visit the Regio PV in Karlstein – new findings are to be incorporated into the energy transition consultation
To provide even more targeted support to citizens in the future regarding the use of solar energy and the energy-efficient renovation of their buildings, a team of volunteer citizen solar and renovation advisors from Riedstadt visited the "Regio PV" trade fair in Karlstein. The volunteers were accompanied by renovation manager Jörg Glock and sustainability manager Sandra Gassauer from the town of Riedstadt.
The focus of the trade fair visit was on current technological developments in photovoltaic systems, energy storage, and intelligent energy management. Participants also took the opportunity to exchange ideas with manufacturers and experts about the future of solar energy use.
New technologies for efficient solar power use
At the trade fair, various manufacturers presented their solutions for the generation, storage and use of solar power.
Particular interest was shown in so-called home energy management systems (HEMS). These make it possible to network the various components of a home energy supply and to use self-generated solar power as efficiently as possible.
Modern storage technologies and special substructures for photovoltaic systems, which can be combined with green roofs, were also among the developments presented.
Another focus was on intelligent software solutions that allow plant components from different manufacturers to be controlled and optimized together.
For the consultants from Riedstadt, such developments are particularly interesting, as they are playing an increasingly important role in the planning and modernization of private solar installations.
Scientific impulses for the future of photovoltaics
In addition to the technical presentations, the trade fair offered a professional program with lectures and discussions.
A panel discussion addressed current challenges in the photovoltaic market. A presentation by Prof. Dr. Volker Quaschning from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Economics (HTW Berlin) also received particular attention.
The scientist explained the importance of photovoltaics for the future energy system and discussed technical developments and standards.
For the Riedstadt consulting team, the event thus offered the opportunity to combine practical experience from the industry with current scientific findings.
“The direct exchange with manufacturers and the fresh know-how from science are invaluable for our voluntary and professional consulting work,” the team summarizes the trade fair visit.
The insights gained will be directly incorporated into future consultations in Riedstadt.
Riedstadt is looking for more volunteer solar energy consultants
The volunteer citizen solar advisor and renovation guide network (BSB) of the Büchner city of Riedstadt would like to gain more members.
We are looking for citizens who are interested in climate protection and renewable energies and who would like to inform other people independently about possibilities for using solar energy.
The volunteer advisors support interested parties with questions about their own photovoltaic system and energy-efficient renovation measures.
Those who participate in the network have the opportunity to attend free training courses, trade fairs, and information events. This is intended to enable members to regularly expand their knowledge and stay up-to-date.
Contact for interested parties
Anyone who would like to participate in the citizen solar advisor and renovation guide network can contact the renovation manager of the city of Riedstadt directly.
