Two anniversary concerts in November will conclude the anniversary year
The Pfungstadt Accordion Association (AVP) will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2026. Today, the association comprises three ensembles for children and young people, as well as two orchestras with adult, advanced players. These groups perform at events in Pfungstadt, organize their own concerts, and participate in international competitions. Furthermore, the association maintains musical connections with Pfungstadt's European twin towns.
The repertoire ranges from pop, rock, musical and film music to original compositions for accordion orchestra and works from the Baroque and Classical periods.
Double anniversary at the concert in Eberstadt
On September 12th, the Pfungstadt Accordion Association will perform in Eberstadt at a joint anniversary concert with the Darmstadt Accordion Concert Society, at the invitation of both organizations. The Darmstadt society will also celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2026. The program will showcase the musical range of the accordion.
