Historic blacksmith shop becomes a meeting place for collectors and enthusiasts
The first Art and Antiques Days will take place in Darmstadt-Eberstadt on May 2nd and 3rd, 2026. The venue is the Geibel'sche Schmiede (Geibel's Forge) on Oberstraße.
Variety surrounding art and antiques
The grounds will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Visitors can expect a wide range of art and collectibles, including antique jewelry, silverware, stamps, coins, as well as antique books and furniture.
Supporting program with estimates and lecture
The event is complemented by a supporting program: Appraisals for pictures, jewelry or coins brought along will be offered on site.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., Lutz Achenbach will give a presentation about former breweries and inns in Eberstadt. There will also be an opportunity to have knives sharpened at the historic blacksmith's shop.
The nostalgia café invites you to linger
A nostalgic café in the old house creates a special atmosphere. It is open from 2 pm to 6 pm on both days and offers coffee and cake as well as historical magazines and illustrated books to browse.
