Culinary opening delights guests at the Volkshaus Büttelborn
The Gerauer Land Asparagus Days officially kicked off with a festive gala at the Volkshaus Büttelborn. Around 250 guests enjoyed an evening full of culinary delights, entertainment, and regional cuisine to mark the start of the event series (April 24 to June 24).
A wide variety of asparagus dishes
Six restaurants and around 30 chefs presented an extensive buffet featuring seasonal vegetables. The selection ranged from creative appetizers to classic and modern main courses, as well as a variety of desserts.
Thomas Will was also impressed by the quality and presentation of the food at the opening.
Entertainment and information on stage
In addition to the culinary offerings, a diverse stage program provided entertainment. Interviews with guests from the gastronomy, agriculture, and organizational sectors offered insights into the significance of the Asparagus Days for the region.
Acrobatics, comedy, and music complemented the program and made the gala a special experience. The event was completely sold out.
Focus on regional cooperation
Several restaurants from the Groß-Gerau district participated in the asparagus gala. The event was also supported by regional partners and initiatives.
With its successful start, the Gerauer Land Asparagus Days will offer numerous opportunities to enjoy regional asparagus dishes in the coming weeks.
