Inspections and advisory services in southern Hesse are intended to raise public awareness
The South Hessian police used the statewide campaign week "Together Safe Against Theft and Burglary" to promote greater security through increased patrols, information booths, and prevention programs. The South Hessian Police Headquarters has drawn a positive conclusion following the campaign week.
In all four police districts, police officers were out and about, engaging in conversations with citizens. The focus was on providing information about protecting oneself against burglary and theft.
Advice in residential areas and at information stands
As part of preventative patrols, police officers informed residents in Riedstadt, Heppenheim, Erbach and Mühltal, among other places, about effective measures for securing houses and apartments.
In addition, the police were present with information booths at weekly markets and other busy locations. For example, interested individuals could receive direct advice in Rüsselsheim-Königstädten, Griesheim, and Weiterstadt. Officers distributed informational materials, answered questions, and provided personalized tips on burglary prevention.
Expert presentation on the topic of residential burglary
In addition to the advisory services, a specialist lecture on the topic of residential burglary took place in Einhausen. Specialist advisors from the South Hesse Police Headquarters provided information on technical security options and effective protective measures.
Simple measures can help
According to the police, numerous citizens took the opportunity to learn about prevention measures. Even simple behavioral changes and technical security measures can significantly hinder burglars or prevent them altogether.
Further information on the topic of burglary protection can be found on the websites of K-Einbruch and the police crime prevention office.
