The institution is celebrating its 30th anniversary
The Paradies children's center in Darmstadt is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Since 1996, the facility has been an important resource for children and young people in the Eberstadt-Süd district.
Open meeting place for children and young people
The children's home was founded by a consortium of sponsors from the science city of Darmstadt, the International Federation Southwest gGmbH, the Eberstadt-Süd neighborhood association and the Evangelical Church Darmstadt Eberstadt-Süd.
The offer is primarily aimed at children between six and twelve years old and is open to everyone – regardless of origin, religion or social background.
Support in everyday life and leisure activities
The children's center offers not only recreational activities but also educational support. This includes homework help, holiday programs, excursions, and holiday camps.
Thanks to the support of children for a better world eV, the children also receive a healthy and free lunch every day.
Children participate in the design process
Regular children's conferences are an important part of the work. There, the children can express their wishes and actively participate in shaping the activities offered.
Since 2016, the children's home has been located at Stresemannstraße 1 in the rectory next to the community center of the Evangelical Church Darmstadt-Eberstadt.
Anniversary celebration on June 19th
The anniversary will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2026, starting at 3 p.m., with a varied program of events and culinary offerings. Everyone from the neighborhood and beyond is invited.
