Arrests, drug finds and several criminal proceedings during targeted checks
As part of the "Safe City Center" , police conducted extensive checks in the Herrngarten park and surrounding areas on Tuesday. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., officers from the South Hesse Police Headquarters, supported by the Hessian riot police, checked a total of 16 people. Several criminal proceedings were initiated as a result.
Heroin seized
on a 44-year-old man . According to police, the man was also in Germany without a valid residence permit. He was taken to the police station, where several investigations were initiated against him.
Crack found in 69-year-old
A 69-year-old man also came under the scrutiny of officers during the checks. A small amount of crack cocaine was seized during a search. He is now under investigation for violating the narcotics law.
Man wanted on an arrest warrant arrested
Around 3 p.m., police stopped a 38-year-old man on Bismarckstrasse . It turned out that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for him on charges of theft. The man was arrested and was scheduled to appear before a judge on Wednesday.
