The city will provide information on September 23rd about the impact on Wixhausen, Arheilgen and Kranichstein
The City of Darmstadt invites the public to an information event on the Cindy S flight path on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bürgermeister-Pohl-Haus in Wixhausen, the event will focus particularly on the impact of the flight path change implemented in July 2025 on Wixhausen, Arheilgen, and Kranichstein.
Citizens can submit their questions before the event. Registration for the information evening is not required.
The results of the monitoring will be presented
The relocation of the Cindy S departure route has been underway since July 10, 2025 , as part of a trial operation and is being monitored. Representatives from the institutions responsible for this will present the results to date with regard to the city of Darmstadt at the event.
A discussion will follow. Mayor Hanno Benz and Environmental Officer Michael Kolmer will also be on the panel to explain the city's position and the next steps.
“It is important to us to focus on the impact of the relocation on Wixhausen, Arheilgen and Kranichstein at this event,” explain Benz and Kolmer.
Questions can be submitted in advance
To prepare for the event, the city requests that questions be sent in advance via email to umweltamt@darmstadt.de . Questions can also be asked directly during the event.
Should not all points be answered that evening, the city intends to answer the remaining questions in writing afterward. Furthermore, a compilation of the questions and answers will be published on the city's website.
According to the city, the public event is aimed at affected and interested citizens of Darmstadt.
