The district association elects its board for the next two years
The FDP Darmstadt elected a new district executive committee at its regularly scheduled district members' meeting. Dr. Christoph Rohloff was unanimously confirmed as district chairman.
The members elected Viola Gebek, Marie Guerdan, and Christoph Hentzen as deputy chairpersons. Mark Rothermel will continue to serve as treasurer.
New board elected
The newly elected board also includes numerous additional members. Elected were Martin Beck, Denise Becker, Florian Brandherm, Christian Albert, Christof Baur, Dr. Ursula Blaum, Dr. Dierk Molter, Heike Balzer, Maximilian Kehrer, Dieter Peters, and Andreas May.
Herbert Kuhlmann was elected as the European representative of the district association.
Focus on local political issues
After his re-election, Rohloff looked back on the past years, which had been marked by several election campaigns.
“After two intense years with three important elections, we now – hopefully – have two election-free years ahead,” explained the old and new district chairman.
During this time, the FDP intends to further expand its presence in the Darmstadt districts and intensify the exchange with the citizens.
Cooperation with the parliamentary group
According to Rohloff, the work of the district association will be closely integrated with the FDP parliamentary group. The aim is to address the concerns of Darmstadt's residents more effectively and to raise awareness of local political issues.
With the newly elected board, the party considers itself well-positioned in terms of personnel.
