There are still places available for the trip to Lake Lippe
For the DLRG youth group in Pfungstadt, one of the highlights of the year begins in a few weeks: In the first two weeks of the Hessian summer holidays, they will go to the summer tent camp at Lake Lippe near Paderborn for ten days.
Around 25 children and teenagers aged eight to 17 have already registered. The program includes numerous group games, excursions, swimming, and outdoor activities.
Nature experiences and community are the focus
Camp leader Joshua Leibrock is looking forward to the trip. "I went on these trips myself as a child, and then as now it's simply wonderful to enjoy nature, spend time outdoors, sit around the campfire and experience the stories of tomorrow," he explains.
The team was further strengthened this year to better support the participants.
Information afternoon on June 6th
An important date before departure is the information afternoon on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 3 p.m. in the Willi-Rossmann-Heim of the DLRG in Fabrikstraße 9 in Pfungstadt.
There, registered children, teenagers, and parents will receive the final important information about the camp's schedule. At the same time, the event offers interested parties the opportunity to find out about remaining available spaces and ask any questions they may have.
The registration deadline for the summer camp is June 7th.
Return to a familiar campsite
For many members of the support team, the campsite at Lake Lippe is a familiar place. A summer camp for the DLRG youth group from Pfungstadt was held there ten years ago.
Coach Sven Emich fondly recalls: "We had our own area on the pitch all to ourselves, and next to it a large meadow for playing football. We could also spend a lot of time at and in the Lippesee lake."
