Many people associate courts exclusively with judges or lawyers. In fact, the justice system offers numerous other career paths with responsible tasks – and these do not require a state law exam.
Responsibility in the judiciary
One example is the dual study program to become a court clerk . These clerks independently take on numerous tasks that were previously reserved for judges. These include, among other things, probate proceedings, land registry matters, guardianship proceedings, and tasks in the enforcement of sentences.
The course of study takes place at the study center in Rotenburg an der Fulda and is supplemented by practical phases at courts. Students receive a monthly stipend during their training.
Training in the judicial service
Those who prefer to complete a traditional vocational training can opt for training as a court clerk or court employee .
These employees ensure the smooth operation of the court. They maintain files, monitor deadlines, process entries, organize administrative procedures, and attend court hearings as court reporters. At the same time, they are available to citizens as points of contact for numerous concerns.

Secure job with prospects
The judiciary offers diverse career opportunities in the public sector with long-term development prospects. At the job rotation event, the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main provides information about entry requirements, training pathways, dual study programs, and career opportunities within the Hessian judicial system.
