Open-air event in the Lincoln settlement combines culture, encounters and creative participation
As announced by the press office of the City of Darmstadt, the ROPE eV network invites everyone to the "KulturRausch Open Air" event in the Lincoln district on Friday, June 12th. From 3 pm to 7 pm, visitors can expect an open cultural and social event with music, dance, performance, and creative activities in the district's central square.
The event is aimed at children, teenagers, young adults, and residents of the neighborhood. The goal is to combine cultural participation, social interaction, and low-threshold preventative work.
Music, dance and creative forms of expression
The open-air event is jointly organized by the Lincoln-Siedlung Youth Club and the Addiction Prevention Center with its "Rauschzeit" project. This project focuses on mobile addiction prevention and aims to reach young people directly in their everyday lives and public spaces.
The focus is on a modern prevention approach that emphasizes exchange, participation, and creative expression. Music, dance, and performance are intended to provide access to topics such as peer pressure, consumer behavior, identity, and emotional needs.

City supports "Rauschzeit" project
The science city of Darmstadt has been funding the "Rauschzeit" project since 2025. Mayor Barbara Akdeniz emphasizes the importance of creative opportunities for young people:
"I expressly welcome this innovative project. Cultural and creative offerings in particular open up spaces for young people where they can experience community, self-efficacy and so-called 'flow experiences' – intense moments of concentration, expression and connection, entirely without substance use."
The event is also supported by the Max and Käthe Kempf Foundation and the City of Darmstadt.
Further information is available from the addiction prevention office of ROPE eV at Soderstraße 7 in Darmstadt or by email at fsp@network-rope.org.
