The Mercedes-Benz Interest Group supports VKKD with fundraising
A love of classic cars and social commitment go hand in hand at the Mercedes-Benz Interest Group Darmstadt (MBIG). At this year's Mercedes classic car meeting on Karolinenplatz, members and visitors collected donations for the Association for Children with Cancer and Chronic Illnesses in Darmstadt (VKKD).
The donation amount was subsequently increased again at the MBIG regular meeting. The support could now be officially handed over – in true style, in the presence of several vintage Mercedes cars.
Classic car rally with a social purpose
The Mercedes classic car meeting at Karolinenplatz has been a popular event for classic car enthusiasts in Darmstadt for many years. In addition to exchanging information about the technology, history, and maintenance of the vehicles, a charitable cause is regularly a central focus.
“When enjoying beautiful old cars, charity should not be forgotten,” emphasized the members of the Mercedes-Benz Interest Group at the donation handover.
Support for sick children and their families
The Darmstadt Association for Children with Cancer and Chronic Illnesses supports affected children and their families in difficult life situations. With this fundraising drive, the classic car enthusiasts hope to contribute to the important work of the association.
Regular meetings in Griesheim
The Mercedes-Benz Interest Group Darmstadt meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8 pm in the club restaurant of TuS Griesheim.
According to the club, interested vintage car enthusiasts and owners of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles are welcome at any time.
