Training camp in the Allgäu region and several test matches planned
SV Darmstadt 98 has announced the first dates for its preparations for the 2026/27 second division season. Following medical examinations and performance tests on June 25, the Lilies will return to the training pitch for the first time on June 27.
The first public team training session will take place at the SV Winterkasten grounds in Lindenfels. It starts at 3 p.m. Spectators are welcome.
Lilies want to expand their presence in the Odenwald region
With the start of training in the Odenwald region, SV Darmstadt 98 aims to further strengthen its ties with the area. The club announces that it will be more present in the Odenwald in the coming months with activities and events.
Anniversary match at SG Arheilgen
Darmstadt 98 will play their first pre-season friendly on July 4th at 1 p.m. against SG Arheilgen. The occasion is the hosts' 150th anniversary.
Further test matches will follow on July 11 at VfR Fehlheim and on July 14 at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor against the regional league team FC Homburg.
The team will complete their final test before the training camp on July 17th against the regional league team FC-Astoria Walldorf.
Training camp again in Bad Wörishofen
As in the previous year, SV Darmstadt 98 will travel to their training camp in Bad Wörishofen in the Allgäu region from July 19th to 26th.
The team and coaching staff will once again be staying at the Parkhotel Residence. Training will take place at the FC Bad Wörishofen facilities. Two further friendly matches are scheduled during their stay. The club will announce details in the coming weeks.
Season opening at Böllenfalltor
On August 1st, SV Darmstadt 98 invites fans to its traditional season opening at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. The final pre-season friendly will also take place on this day. The opponent for this final test match is yet to be determined.
The second division season 2026/27 will kick off on the weekend of August 7th to 9th.
