BUND and the adult education center provide information about photovoltaics and funding opportunities
How can you generate and use your own electricity with a photovoltaic system? An information event hosted by BUND and the Darmstadt Adult Education Center on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, will provide answers to this and other questions.
The lecture “Generating and using solar power yourself – Your own roof as a solar power plant” starts at 7 pm in the BUND Center for Urban Nature at Klappacher Straße 27 in Darmstadt.
Photovoltaics is becoming increasingly attractive for more and more buildings
The organizers will provide information about the possibilities of modern photovoltaic systems and their importance for climate protection. Thanks to technological advances, solar panels can now be used economically on many roofs.
The presentation will also address current legal frameworks and funding programs that support the expansion of renewable energies. This also opens up new possibilities for multi-family buildings to use solar power.
Information on technology, costs and funding
The presentation will focus on practical questions surrounding the planning and implementation of a photovoltaic system. Participants will receive information on technology, costs, funding opportunities, and the necessary steps to owning their own solar power system.
Furthermore, members of the Darmstadt Citizens' Solar Advisory Service will present their volunteer work. They will explain how interested individuals can receive support in planning and implementing their own projects.
Participation is also possible online
The event is free of charge and open to all interested parties.
In addition to in-person attendance, the lecture will also be streamed online. Access is via the BUND Darmstadt website.
