The municipality of Bickenbach invites you to an excursion by boat and cable car
The municipality of Bickenbach invites senior citizens to a day trip to Rüdesheim am Rhein on Tuesday, September 22nd . The program includes a ride on the Winzerexpress train, a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument, and a boat trip on the Rhine.
Departure is at 8:45 am from Bickenbach Town Hall, and the return is planned for around 5:30 pm .
“Our senior citizens' trip offers a wonderful opportunity to spend an eventful day together, gather new impressions, and engage in conversation. I am delighted that we can once again offer an attractive and varied program this year,” says Mayor Markus Hennemann.
Rüdesheim is one of the most popular destinations in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Upon arrival, the tour group will first explore the town using the Winzerexpress train. Afterwards, a cable car will take the participants to the Niederwald Monument, which offers a panoramic view of the Rhine and the vineyards.
After an individual lunch in a wine cellar – the cost of which is not included in the tour price – a boat tour of the castle follows. Afterwards, there is time for independent exploration, such as a stroll through the old town or a visit to a café.
The participation fee is €45 and is payable upon registration. The price includes the bus trip, the winegrowers' express train, the cable car ride, and the boat tour.
The senior citizens' office of the municipality of Bickenbach is accepting registrations until Friday, September 4th. The contact person is Mareike Lorenz (phone 06257 9330-36, email mareike.lorenz@bickenbach-bergstrasse.de).
