Triathletes complete distances of up to 600 kilometers
The triathletes of SG Arheilgen have completed an intensive training weekend. From April 30th to May 3rd, 2026, the traditional cycling weekend took place in the Sinntal valley around Schwarzenfels Castle.
Long distances and many meters of elevation gain
The journey to and from the event was already a sporty one, done by racing bike. Challenging tours were on the agenda for the two main days. In perfect weather conditions, the routes led along the Franconian Saale river and up to the Wasserkuppe mountain.
The races were divided into different performance groups, ensuring suitable training conditions for both ambitious and less experienced participants. In total, the athletes covered between 400 and 600 kilometers – some with more than 7,000 meters of elevation gain.
Successful training weekend
Besides the sporting achievements, the team spirit was also a key focus. A good atmosphere, riding together, and appropriate catering ensured a thoroughly successful weekend.
The cycling weekend in the Sinntal valley thus remains an integral part of the season preparation and underlines the importance of joint training sessions in club sports.
