24 repair orders at the October meeting – next meeting on November 28th at the community center.
At the Eschollbrücken Repair Café in Pfungstadt, the volunteer repair experts successfully completed more than half of the 24 repair requests on Saturday, October 31st. From 3 pm to 6 pm, they worked on broken appliances at the community center. Coffee and homemade cake were also available.
Fittingly for Halloween, a hand-held ironing board caused quite a stir: the device no longer inflated and reminded those present of a ghost. Among the successfully repaired items were a stereo system, a razor, a paper shredder, headphones, a handheld vacuum cleaner, a wall clock, and a printer.
Repair Café Eschollbrücken is looking for more support
The service is run by volunteers who provide their knowledge and skills free of charge. Children and young people should also have the opportunity to try their hand at repairs.
Anyone who knows something about repairs and would like to help can contact Matthias Hirt.
Last appointment of the year on November 28th
The next and last Repair Café this year will take place on Saturday, November 28th, from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Bürgerheim Eschollbrücken.
