Successes in charity runs, half marathons and triathlons
The triathletes of SG Arheilgen have had an eventful week of competition. The athletes successfully participated in several events in Hesse and beyond.
Participation in the World PH Day Run
The World PH Day Run kicked things off on Tuesday, May 5th. The event raises funds for people with the rare disease pulmonary hypertension.
Ten athletes from SGA participated. Lukas Beckmann achieved second place in his M30 age group over five kilometers with a time of 32:09 minutes.
Over the one-kilometer distance, several SGA athletes achieved top positions in their age groups. Barbara Vierling, Frauke Hübner, Marina Lefort, Jutta Cymanek, and Christian Dalla Libera each secured first place in their respective age groups.
Good times at the Mainz Half Marathon
Conny Thiele ran the Mainz Half Marathon as a companion for her daughter and finished in 1:57:04. Sascha Prehn completed the course in 1:44:10.
Start at the Trollinger Marathon
Bernd Eisele finished the 24th Trollinger Marathon in Heilbronn after 4:06:47 hours.
Season opener at the triathlon in Griesheim
Also on Sunday, the new triathlon season began for some SGA triathletes at the Short Track Triathlon in Griesheim.
Barbara Vierling, Stephan Prosser, Axel Reinhardt, and Torsten Velde competed for SG Arheilgen in the second division of the Hessenliga. The team finished eighth out of 13 teams in their opening match.
