Citizens can take plants from the provided container
The removal of the spring plantings in the Darmstadt Orangery will begin on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. This was announced by the City of Darmstadt.
Plants can be taken along
The city gardeners dispose of the removed plants in a provided container. Interested citizens are welcome to take plants from there.
Staff from the Parks and Green Spaces Department will also be available on site to answer any questions.
Independent digging is not permitted
The city explicitly points out that plants must not be dug up from the flowerbeds on one's own.
