Author reading on May 12, 2026 as part of the "Literary Scene of Southern Hesse" series
The Literature Initiative invites you to an author reading on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Hotel/Restaurant Rosengarten in Darmstadt. The event is part of the "Literary Scene of Southern Hesse" series. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
Alex Dreppec, Paul Hermann Gruner, and Tom Wolff present their collaborative volume "Trio Infernale: Poems, Short Texts, and Off-the-Cuffers," which will be published in 2026 by Pop-Verlag Ludwigsburg. The three authors are members of the South Hessian literary group Poseidon and will present a selection of their texts.
Thematically, the contributions grapple with the contradictions and demands of everyday life. The texts approach these topics from diverse stylistic perspectives – sometimes humorous, sometimes pointed, sometimes critical. What the authors share is an approach that understands language as a means of reflection on and response to social developments.
Paul Hermann Gruner works as an author, publicist, and visual artist. His recent publications include "Three Women" (2023) and "Cars Are Deadly" (2025). Alex Dreppec works as an author and teacher and regularly organizes poetry slam events. Tom Wolff works as a journalist, musician, and freelance writer and has published in the anthology "Smartphone Stories" (2024), among other works.
