Johannes Krebs and Olena Miso, the Guadagnini Trio and Alexander Krichel will be performing in Jugenheim
After the summer break, Kultur im Schloss Heiligenberg continues its program in its anniversary year. From September to November, the program at Heiligenberg Castle in Jugenheim includes concerts with cellist Johannes Krebs and pianist Olena Miso, the Guadagnini Trio, and pianist Alexander Krichel. A chamber music festival will also take place in November.
Krebs and Miso start after the summer break
On Saturday, September 12th, at 7 pm, Johannes Krebs and Olena Miso will be performing in the garden salon. The concert is part of the "Listen in the Monument" series and is part of the concerts for Heritage Day sponsored by the Sparkasse Cultural Foundation.
Krebs was principal cellist of the Bremen Philharmonic from 2006 to 2019 and has been a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since 2019. The Ukrainian pianist Olena Miso studied in Kyiv and Graz and has been a senior lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since 2021.
Guadagnini Trio follows in October
The Guadagnini Trio will perform in the garden salon on Saturday, October 10th, at 7 pm. The ensemble consists of Alina Armonas-Tambrea on violin, Edvardas Armonas on cello, and Yannick Van de Velde on piano.
Armonas-Tambrea was concertmaster at the Darmstadt State Theatre and teaches at the Academy of Music. Edvardas Armonas performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. The Belgian pianist Yannick Van de Velde studied with Klaus Hellwig and Elisso Virsaladze, among others. The trio takes its name from the violin played by Alina Armonas-Tambrea, a Guadagnini family violin maker.
Piano evening with Alexander Krichel in November
On Saturday, November 28th, at 7 pm, Alexander Krichel will give a solo piano recital. The ECHO Klassik award winner has performed at venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Tonhalle Zurich, and the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna. His album "My Rachmaninoff" was highlighted by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 2023 as one of three outstanding recordings of the Rachmaninoff anniversary year.
A chamber music festival is also planned for November 7th and 8th. This will feature both antique replicas from the Kury string instrument workshop and new instruments. Further details about the festival will be announced later.
