Autobahn GmbH announces construction work and detour from Pfungstadt
The Autobahn GmbH des Bundes (Federal Highway Company) is carrying out construction work in the area of the Darmstadt interchange. For this purpose, the A67 will be completely closed for one weekend in April.
Closure from Friday to Monday
The closure affects the A67 motorway in the direction of Frankfurt from the Pfungstadt junction.
- Start: Friday, April 24, 2026, around 9 p.m
- End: Monday, April 27, 2026, around 5 a.m
The reason is asphalt work in several construction phases at the Darmstadt interchange.
Diversion via the B426 and A5
Traffic will be diverted during the closure:
- From Pfungstadt via the B426
- Continue to the A5 via the Darmstadt-Eberstadt interchange
Traffic disruptions are to be expected in the diversion area.
Construction work at the important traffic junction
The Darmstadt interchange is one of the central traffic hubs in southern Hesse. The measures are intended to repair the road surface and improve traffic safety in the long term.
Autobahn GmbH asks road users for their understanding regarding the restrictions during the construction work.
