Galerie EPES presents the first solo exhibition of the Swiss artist in Germany, starting September 11th
The EPES Gallery in Darmstadt will present works by the Swiss artist Antonio Wehrli from September 11, 2026. Titled "Awakening in Color," the exhibition will feature works from the series "Centrifugal" and "Gravity Germania." According to the gallery, this is Wehrli's first solo exhibition in Germany.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, September 11th, at 7 pm in the EPES Gallery, Am kleinen Woog 4a.

Centrifugal force and historical copperplate engravings
In the series "Centrifugal," Wehrli uses centrifugal force as part of his artistic process. The resulting movements of the paint determine the structure of the paintings.
The artist takes a different approach with "Gravity Germania." For these works, Wehrli uses historical German copperplate engravings, which he reworks with acrylic paints. Historical motifs meet contemporary painting.
Wehrli was born in Zurich and lives and works in Glarus, Switzerland, and Chengdu, China. According to the gallery, he understands color as an expression of openness, communication, and peace. His artistic motto is "Turn your life colorful!".
Opening on September 11th
The exhibition opens on September 11th at 7 pm. The EPES gallery is open Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm and Thursdays and Fridays from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Galerie EPES, Am kleine Woog 4a, 64283 Darmstadt.
