The general meeting reveals growing commitment to voluntary work
The German Red Cross local branch in Nieder-Beerbach drew a positive conclusion at its members' meeting on March 7, 2026. In addition to a stable financial situation, the significant increase in deployments was particularly highlighted.
Continuous work and sound club management
Chairman Marcel Tyralla looked back on a year 2025 characterized by reliable club work and a high level of volunteer commitment – both in Mühltal and beyond. At the same time, membership development remains a challenge, as the total number is slightly declining despite some new members joining.
Treasurer Anja Tyralla reported rising expenses for equipment and vehicles. Nevertheless, all costs remained within the budget. The auditors confirmed proper and transparent financial management.
Significantly more first responder deployments
Emergency response team leader Thorsten Tyralla drew a particularly active conclusion: A total of around 200 deployments and activities were recorded, in which 2,179 hours of voluntary work were performed.
The most striking development is the increase in first responder deployments, which have almost doubled compared to the previous year. To meet the rising demands, the technical equipment has been further improved. For example, the emergency vehicle was equipped with an engine-running control system that can be used to secure incident scenes.
Awards for long-standing commitment
During the meeting, numerous members were honored for their long-standing membership. Barbara Reinhardt was recognized for five years of membership. Martin Drewelies, Doreen Gerk, Sophie Haselbauer, Georg Weber, and Walter Zywottek have been active in the local association for ten years. Benjamin Peter was honored for 20 years, Simone Reil for 30 years, and Horst Otto for 35 years.
In addition, Anja Tyralla received an award from the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, for Security and Homeland Security and a recognition bonus for ten years of active service in disaster relief.
The contribution remains stable
The membership fee remains unchanged at 15 euros per year. The local association is thus continuing to rely on stable conditions for its volunteer work.
