Grand opening on July 18th with traditional market decree
The Erbach Meadow Market on July 18th with a festive program. The event begins with a reception in the courtyard of Erbach Castle, followed by the official opening ceremony and the traditional parade to the market grounds.
Traditional opening ceremony at Erbach Castle
at 4 p.m. Following this, His Serene Highness Count Eberhard zu Erbach-Erbach will deliver the traditional opening address. A member of the Count's family will read the market decree from the castle balcony before Mayor Dr. Peter Traub welcomes the visitors.
with nine cannon shots from the pleasure garden. At the same time, the traditional parade with around 50 groups, leading from the castle via the market square and the main street to the festival grounds.
Beer tapping ceremony in the festival halls
Following the parade, the traditional tapping of the first keg of beer will take place in beer halls 1 and 2. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Kocherbach brass band. The Wiesenmarkt farmer will also address the guests.
